Leadership plays an important role in determining the success of employees in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. In construction companies, employee performance is a major factor that influences the success of a project. Thus, the sustainability of small-scale construction businesses is largely determined by the owner's ability to lead and manage the organization. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership on employee performance in small construction companies in Palangka Raya City. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires directly to 38 employees who were selected as research samples. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS program with stages of validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, simple linear regression, and determination coefficient tests. The test results showed that all instruments were valid because the calculated r value exceeded the table r (0.320). The reliability test produced a Cronbach's Alpha value for variable X of 0.864 and for variable Y of 0.869, which were declared reliable. The data were also normally distributed and homogeneous. Regression analysis showed that leadership had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (0.001 < 0.05) with a contribution of 27.4%.
