The Building and Impact Technique (TMB) is one of the community service activities carried out by lecturers and students of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Palangka Raya. This activity was conducted in Kahayan Tengah Subdistrict, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan. The work program proposed by the subdistrict to TMB participants is the planning of a Detailed Engineering Design (DED) and Budget Plan (RAB) for a new office building with a Betang House architectural concept. This construction is planned because the old building has reached the end of its service life, its capacity is inadequate, its layout is inefficient, and it does not reflect local cultural values. The purpose of the activity is to design a new building that is functional, efficient, and has adequate capacity to replace the old building. In addition, this activity aims to develop an optimal layout for public services and apply the Rumah Betang philosophy. The approach used is applied engineering with participatory design and construction methods, involving traditional leaders and subdistrict staff in decision-making. The implementation stages include program work surveys and discussions, working drawing design using AutoCAD, 3D visualization with SketchUp, structural analysis using SAP2000, and RAB calculations. The results of the activity are complete DED drawings, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailing, as well as RAB calculations covering preparatory work, excavation and earthworks, substructures and superstructures, and other work with an estimated cost of IDR 6,707,785,000.00. The benefit of this activity is to provide an overview of the DED and cost estimates for the construction of a new office building that supports optimal public services and preserves local wisdom.
