Central Kalimantan Province is an area with a very large area and potential for peatland utilisation, but faces various environmental problems that have been going on for more than two decades. Environmental education about peat is one of the important factors to minimise environmental damage. Therefore, an explanation of peatlands and their problems and recovery efforts needs to be given to the community, including in this case the students of SMAN 2 Kahayan Tengah, Bukit Rawi Village, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, as a form of additional useful knowledge, so that students can better understand and understand and can participate and care more about the environment in their area, which also has peatland characteristics, so that peatlands can be preserved. The method used was in the form of presentations, lectures and discussions. The conclusion of this community service programme is that with the explanation given, students' understanding of peatland has increased, with the hope that the students will be able to have a positive impact on the community and the environment around them.

Partisipasi Masyarakat di Kelurahan Pahandut Seberang Kota Palangka Raya dalam Pelatihan Program Green Kampung

This service activity facilitates the assistance of Pahandut Seberang Village residents in realising a green village by utilising open land and yards for land media for vegetable and fruit plants. Open land and yards are used as a medium that can be planted with vegetable and fruit daily needs. The service aims to stimulate riverbank communities to utilise open land areas and yards to grow vegetables and fruit as an implementation of green villages in Pahandut Seberang Village. The Green kampung programme is planned to be located at the Daruth Tayyibah Mosque in the riverbank residential area of Pahandut Seberang Village, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya City. The method uses a qualitative method based on the process of interviewing the needs of residents, community meetings in selecting plants, planting vegetables and fruit, plant maintenance, and harvesting by the women of the Pahandut Seberang Village Recitation. The University of Palangka Raya Service Team provided assistance to the women's group in learning in the form of training from the stages of designing land, selecting plants, planting, caring for and harvesting vegetable and fruit plants. The results of this service are the implementation of green village training activities in the form of socialisation, seedling sowing, transplanting into recycled pots, and monitoring the maintenance of vegetable and fruit plants. Training activities for recitation mothers provide long-term opportunities as entrepreneurs of the riverbank community. The results of this training serve as a trigger for communities from other villages to implement the green kampung programme in the villages of Palangka Raya City.

This service aims to study and implement innovative and effective financial management applications for Village-Owned Enterprises (VE). Good financial management is key to advancing the village economy and improving community welfare. Involving surveys, interviews and analysis of VE Desa needs related to financial management, this service also involves VE managers and Village Apparatus. The activity plan consists of planning, implementation, socialisation and evaluation. The planning stage included initial discussions with VE managers for application functionality and identification of application components based on needs. As a result, an application was designed that includes transaction recording, data processing, and structured financial report preparation. Training for VE managers on the application and financial management was conducted. VE managers were active in the implementation to ensure compliance. The results show that the application can be used well by VE managers from the data input stage to the output of VE financial reports. It is expected that this application supports the active role of VE in the village economy, creating jobs, and improving community welfare.

Pemanfaatan Limbah Sekam Padi Dalam Pembuatan Sekam Bakar dan Briket di Pendahara Kecamatan Tewang Sangalang Garing Kabupaten Katingan

Pendahara sub-district has rice fields covering an area of 165 hectares with an average annual rice yield of 417.5 tons. After the harvest period, there will usually be a lot of leftovers from rice milling in the form of rice husk waste (husk). There is still little use made to reduce the environmental impact resulting from rice husk waste. The use of rice husks has impacts in terms of energy, finance and ecology. From an energy aspect, rice husks can produce bioenergy through burning the husks for electricity or alternative fuels. Meanwhile, from a financial aspect, farmers can reduce production costs by using husks as value-added products such as organic fertilizer. Furthermore, in the ecological aspect, it is useful in minimizing agricultural waste and reducing pollution due to the use of husks for various environmentally friendly products such as compost or wood panels. If further processed rice husks can be made into husk charcoal which is processed into briquette products, briquettes have benefits as fuel, agricultural materials and industrial materials, for human needs. The aim of this community service activity is to use rice husk waste into burnt husks and briquettes so that it can be used as a community business opportunity. The stages of making burnt husks are making a burning tool, burning rice husks, packaging the burnt husks. The stages of making briquettes are grinding the ingredients, mixing the ingredients and molding the briquettes. The results of making burnt husks and briquettes, namely burnt husks, can be used as planting media and fertilizer for plants. In the results of making briquettes, the briquettes cannot be used because they cannot be lit, which is why briquettes require a lighter to make it easier to ignite.

People, especially women of childbearing age, are prone to anaemia because they lose a lot of blood during menstruation. Women of childbearing age who suffer from anaemia have a high risk of anaemia during pregnancy. This will have an impact on the inhibition of fetal growth and development and potentially lead to complications of pregnancy and childbirth. Therefore, women of childbearing age (WUS) need to take Blood Addition Tablets (TTD) once a week. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to increase knowledge about the benefits of fe tablet consumption. The results of this activity were attended by 39 women of childbearing age who visited Kalteng Expo 2023. During the activity, the residents were very enthusiastic. This can be seen in the liveliness of the residents following the counselling activities and the increase in knowledge from before and after being given education.

Waste-related problems are serious problems that are being faced by the Samarinda City government. Waste production in Samarinda City reaches 500 tonnes/day. The programmes presented by the Department of Environment (DLH) of Samarinda City currently focus on inorganic waste management. In fact, half (50%) of the total waste production in Samarinda City comes from organic waste, especially those generated from household activities. This community service programme aims to provide education to the community, especially the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group on how to process household organic waste so as to produce compost that can be used by the community. The method used in this composting is the Takakura method. The dedication programme for the use of household waste into compost is important to do in order to reduce household waste in the environment and change the perspective regarding waste that has no economic value. This service program has produced products in the form of compost that is dark in colour (blackish-black), fine textured and compost temperatures ranging from 300C-350C. Based on questionnaires and interviews, 75% of participants understood the material presented, 90% had a high level of satisfaction with the programme and 50% of participants stated that they were willing to apply the composting method.

Poor waste management degrades the quality of the environment. Poor waste management is partly caused by the increasing number of people accompanied by the increasing level of consumption of the population. However, this is not accompanied by an increase in the quality of waste management. This is because a good understanding of waste has not been internalised, that every living person will produce waste every day. This has become one of the focuses of work in community service activities carried out by lecturers of the environmental management study programme. Some of the work programmes carried out in order to foster an understanding of the importance of waste management include a waste sorting socialisation programme and strengthening existing waste banks, as well as a biopore hole making programme. This activity was carried out in a series of service activities for one month which took place in Gunung Panjang Village, precisely in Bukit Pinang Bahari Housing RT 01.

SMAN 2 Kahayan Tengah is one of the schools located in Bukit Rawi, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. In the school there are 150 students, most of whom have used motorised vehicles to get to school and pass through the highway. The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge and is expected to increase the awareness of citizens of SMAN 2 Kahayan Tengah towards traffic rules, signs and markings that apply on the highway. The method of activity implementation is in the form of socialization / lecture. The results of this community service can be seen from the results of questions and answers, interviews and fun quiz, there is a fairly good increase in terms of knowledge and understanding of students regarding traffic rules, signs and markings.

The existence of a website can save time and costs from people who want to communicate with service providers. As in this paper, Sungai Mariam Health Centre as a health service facility created a website to serve as a means of community service. In the process of making it, observation and problem analysis are carried out first so as to produce a website as needed. The advantages of the website that has been made are the features of activities outside the building, drug information and ask the pharmacist. Urban Gardening Pada Kawasan Hunian Barak Sebagai Upaya Penerapan Edukasi dan Ketahanan Pangan di Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal

Bukit Tunggal is one of the densely populated residential areas where there are many barracks, inhabited by many housewives of productive age between 30-46 years old with an average junior high school education who have a lot of free time. Housewives generally take care of the household with a junior high school education without adequate skills. After the pandemic, people tend to be more creative and can be creative to outsmart the existing situation, including in maintaining access to food. People are expected to have the awareness to do independent planting, at least to fulfil their own food needs. There are many ways to do independent planting, such as urban gardening, which is the concept of gardening on limited urban land, which is the right solution for community members, especially housewives, in helping to improve family food security. Therefore, it is necessary to provide knowledge and understanding training to partners so that they are able to master this urban gardening pattern including: (1) preparation, namely preparing training modules, basic knowledge of urban gardening and trials; (2) training implementation: potential vegetables, urban gardening planting methods and media, and direct practice to partners; (3) Partner assistance, and (4) evaluation. The results of vegetable crops that are usually grown include mustard greens, spinach, lettuce, kale, tomatoes and others.
