Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 250 MSME actors in South Kalimantan through questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that business legality—such as ownership of a Business Identification Number (NIB) or Micro and Small Business License (IUMK), P-IRT/BPOM certification, Intellectual Property Rights (trademark), and halal certification—has a positive and significant effect on MSME resilience. These legal recognitions serve as gateways to accessing financial support, ensuring operational sustainability, and creating partnership opportunities, among others. This study recommends strengthening MSME legalization programs as a strategic effort to enhance local economic resilience, emphasizing the critical role of human resources who provide mentoring to build the capacity of MSME actors in South Kalimantan
Sampurnawati Sampurnawati, Dodik Jatmika, Ahmad Yamani, Mahyudiansyah Mahyudiansyah Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/edu/article/view/22528 Mon, 21 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Analisis Porter’s Five Force Pada Pusat Ponsel dan Laptop (PPL) di Kota Palangka Raya https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/edu/article/view/22529
This study examines the landscape of digital device businesses in Palangka Raya by focusing on external factors that influence business sustainability. Utilizing a strategic evaluation approach based on five competitive forces, the research identifies various pressures and opportunities faced by entrepreneurs striving to maintain their presence amid a dynamic market environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders and supplemented by document analysis related to commercial activities in this sector. The findings reveal that the emergence of new entrants poses a significant challenge, primarily due to easy market access and innovative business models. Additionally, relationships with suppliers and the ability to adapt to customer needs are crucial aspects for maintaining competitive advantage. The rise of alternative products and intense competition compel businesses to continuously improve services and foster customer loyalty. This study emphasizes the importance of developing collaboration-based strategies, leveraging information technology, and enhancing customer interaction quality as key factors for survival in an evolving industry. The results are expected to serve as practical references for business practitioners and policymakers in designing adaptive measures to strengthen their position in the growing local market
Newson Renady, Natanael Wongkar, Natasya Syelomita Halim, Yosafat Dame Parlindungan, Elvira Pebiana Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/edu/article/view/22529 Sat, 19 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Kajian Ekonomi Publik Terhadap Pengelolaan Rotan oleh KUPS Desa Gohong Sebagai Upaya Pemberdayaan Masyarakat https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/edu/article/view/22619
Sustainable natural resource management is an important part of community economic development, especially in areas that depend on forest products. This study examines the public economic aspects of rattan management by the Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS) in Gohong Village, Central Kalimantan, as a community empowerment effort. The purpose of this study is to understand how the rattan management model implemented is able to improve community welfare while maintaining environmental sustainability through policies taken as one of the indicators of public economy. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was obtained through interviews with KUPS members and the Village Forest Management Agency (LPHD), direct observation of the rattan handicraft production process, and analysis of relevant policy documents. The results of the study show that rattan management by KUPS has had a very good impact on the local economy by creating business opportunities for the community, especially for women involved in the rattan handicraft industry. The shift in livelihoods from farming to rattan craftsmanship occurred as a result of the government's ban on forest burning. The rattan products produced are not only marketed at the local level but also penetrate the national market. In addition, the sustainability of this business is strengthened by the support of international grants and forest management policies that prevent over-exploitation. This study confirms that a community-based resource management model can be an effective strategy in community economic empowerment while maintaining ecological balance
Fendy Hariatama, Sri Rohaetin, Rahman Rahman, Rinto Alexandro, Grace Evelina Buji Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/edu/article/view/22619 Mon, 28 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0000
