Peer Reviewer Process

Journal of Islamic Education and Intellectual Discourse (JIED) implements a double-blind peer-review process, in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the evaluation. Each submitted manuscript is initially screened by the editorial board to ensure compliance with the journal’s scope, format, and ethical standards. Manuscripts passing the initial screening are then reviewed by at least two independent experts in relevant fields. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, scientific rigor, theoretical and methodological soundness, contribution to knowledge, and clarity of presentation.

The editorial decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) is made after receiving reviewers’ recommendations. The average review period is approximately 4–8 weeks, and revisions must be submitted within the timeframe specified by the editor. To maintain integrity, all manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using standard detection tools before the review process.
