Citations and References Usage

The manuscript submitted to the Journal of Islamic Education and Intellectual Discourse (JIED) must use a reference management application to ensure citation accuracy and consistency throughout the document. Authors are strongly advised to use Mendeley as the primary reference manager.

Authors must ensure the following:

1) All in-text citations must correspond to entries in the reference list.
2) References must follow the APA (7th Edition) citation style consistently throughout the manuscript.
3) The use of recent and reputable sources (preferably within the last 10 years) is encouraged.
4) Authors are advised to include DOIs or URLs for all online references whenever available.
5) The reference list should be alphabetically ordered and formatted using Mendeley’s APA (7th Edition) output style.

Proper use of Mendeley not only improves reference accuracy but also helps maintain the academic integrity and readability of the article.
