Screening for Plagiarism

The Journal of Islamic Education and Intellectual Discourse (JIED) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. Every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a plagiarism screening process using reliable similarity detection tools before being sent for peer review.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are:

1) Entirely original and not copied from other sources without proper citation.
2) Properly referenced and acknowledged when using ideas, data, or wording from other works.
3) Free from all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, or paraphrasing without attribution.

Any detected case of plagiarism—whether identified before or after publication—will result in one or more of the following actions:

a) Immediate rejection of the manuscript or withdrawal of the published article.
b) Official notification to the author(s) and, if necessary, their affiliated institution.
c) Prohibition of future submissions to JIED for a determined period, depending on the severity of the violation.

JIED follows publication ethics guidelines in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) standards to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of scholarly publishing.
