Acacia is included in durable class 3 wood, quite resistant to weather and normal conditions but will easily be attacked by fungi and insects if placed in outdoor conditions that are too wet, not good for use directly on the ground. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method. This research was carried out at the Forest Products Technology Laboratory and Forest Management Laboratory, Department of Forestry, Faculty of Agriculture, Palangka University. After testing the Acacia wood, the results of the test were obtained, then analysis was carried out on the data from the test results so that the following conclusions were obtained: The MOR value of Acacia wood in the KM1, KM2 and KM3 specimens was 66.08 N/mm², 196 .66 N/mm², and 188.83 N/mm². The MOE values for Acacia wood in specimens KM1, KM2 and KM3 are 919.91 N/mm², 932.47 N/mm² and 947.61 N/mm², respectively. The strength class of wood obtained from laboratory testing results is as follows: The strength class of particle board from acacia wood powder based on the specific gravity of the wood is included in wood strength class III with an average specific gravity value of 0.56, the strength class of particle board from Acacia wood powder based on the value MoR obtained from laboratory testing with an average MoR value of 183.96N/〖mm〗^2, strength class of particle board from Acacia wood powder based on MoE value obtained from laboratory testing with an average MoE value of 942.33 N/〖 mm〗^2
Arianto, Lola Cassiophea, Petrisly Perkasa Copyright (c) 2025 PARENTAS: Jurnal Mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/ https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/pts/article/view/12564 Wed, 19 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 FACTORS THAT MOST INFLUENCE THE ATTRACTION OF MOVEMENT TOWARDS SMKN-1 PALANGKA RAYA https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/pts/article/view/18901
Transportation is a very important field of activity and has a strategic role for Indonesia. The city of Palangka Raya is the capital of the province of Central Kalimantan, Indonesia and has a population of 266,020 people (2020) with an average density of 93.24 people/km². The research location is at SMKN-1 Palangka Raya Jl. Tambun Bungai, Langkai, Jekan Raya, Palangka Raya City by distributing questionnaires to respondents who travel to SMKN-1 Palangka Raya by car, motorbike and pedestrian, so that they know the factors that most influence the attraction of movement to SMKN-1 Palangka Raya. The survey results show that there are differences in the movement of modes of instruction for students at SMKN-1 Palangka Raya. The largest mode of delivery was on Friday 282 SMP/hour and the smallest was on Monday 143 SMP/hour at SMKN-1 Palangka Raya. Several factors that most influence the strength of the movement towards SMKN -1 Palangka Raya are the number of students (X2) and the total number of teachers & employees (X4). Meanwhile, the land area (X1), the number of rooms (X3), the parking area (X5) are excluded. because it has a constant value or does not experience changes in value so the influence is less strong on the pull of movement. In future research, more than 1 number of schools can be carried out so that it can be significantly larger and can also be compared with existing research and add other variables to get a significant comparison.
Betty Setiawaty Sinaga, Tarita Aprilani Sitinjak, Revianti Coenraad Copyright (c) 2025 PARENTAS: Jurnal Mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/ https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/pts/article/view/18901 Wed, 19 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 SOIL CHARACTERISTICS AND BEARING CAPACITY USING DYNAMIC CONE PENETROMETER (DCP) TEST IN SOUTH BARITO REGENCY https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/pts/article/view/18899
This research analyzes soil characteristics and bearing capacity based on Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing in South Barito Regency. The study aims to evaluate the relationship between penetration depth, number of blows (N-Blows), and soil bearing capacity (Qall) and to identify suitable soil layers for foundation planning. Testing was conducted at various locations with depths up to 100 cm, including 10 cm intervals. The results show that shallow layers (0–10 cm) have low bearing capacity due to heterogeneous soil properties, while intermediate to deeper layers (40–100 cm) exhibit increased strength and soil stability. Regression analysis revealed high R² values for most locations, such as 0.999 at DCP-17, indicating an almost perfect relationship between the variables. Based on these findings, shallow foundations are recommended for locations with high bearing capacity, while deep foundations are advised for soils with high heterogeneity. This research provides a significant contribution to supporting safe and efficient infrastructure design in the South Barito region.
Frans Putra Genesa, Nathanael Yanuar Kristianto, Lola Cassiophea, Muhtadin, Gagas Wira Syahputra Copyright (c) 2025 PARENTAS: Jurnal Mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/ https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/pts/article/view/18899 Wed, 19 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE Of ONLINE MOTORCYCLE TAXIS ON JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF PALANGKA RAYA https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/pts/article/view/10912
Online motorcycle taxis are application-based motorcycle taxis. Online motorcycle taxis have an impact on job opportunities. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to the general public. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of online motorcycle taxis on job opportunities for the people of the city of Palangkaraya. In this study, data collection was in the form of a questionnaire which was then distributed to 100 respondents, namely the general public. The results of the questionnaire were processed using SPSS version 26 with simple linear regression analysis. The results can be proven from the results of calculations using the SPSS application version 26 on the value of the F test and t test where the results of the F test are F count (170.451) > F table (3.94) and the value of the t test value t count (13.056) > t table (1.98447). Shows that the presence of jobs using the online transportation system is an alternative to increasing people's income, especially for online motorcycle taxis because it has opened up new jobs in the City of Palangka Raya which has a good impact on increasing the income of people who previously did not have jobs
herunursetiawan setiawan, Tarita Aprilani Sitinjak Copyright (c) 2025 PARENTAS: Jurnal Mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/ https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/pts/article/view/10912 Thu, 20 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 SOLID WASTE POLLUTION IN THE SEBANGAU RIVER, KERENG BANGKIRAI, PALANGKA RAYA CITY, CENTRAL KALIMANTAN https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/pts/article/view/18900
The Sebangau Kereng Bangkirai River is still a destination in the city of Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan. The natural scenery on the left and right of the river path is still original. The eyes of visitors or tourists are spoiled by the beauty of the black water of the peat swamp, the construction of the Kereng Bangkirai pier entrance gate building is unique and has a strong ethnic nuance. Starting from the motifs, colors and shapes highlight the characteristics of the Dayak. However, problems arise for the people who live on the banks of the river. Some residents do not maintain and preserve their environment on the banks of the Sebangau Kereng Bangkirai River. The existence of people throwing solid waste directly into the river has resulted in outbreaks of disease and environmental pollution in the Sebangau River area, there is waste dumped by local residents in the form of their daily activities, namely used laundry and food or drinks. This study aims to determine the cause of pollution in the Kereng Bangkirai River in the Kereng Bangkirai River environment. This study was carried out directly in the field by interviewing the community and monitoring community activities. Solid waste can damage the surrounding environment by causing unpleasant odors due to the waste being thrown away by people directly into the river under people's homes and the waste piling up and being scattered.
Maria T.L Manik, Danar A.W.
