Descriptive writing skill is the heart of literacy, yet it often becomes a daunting obstacle that stifles the creativity of elementary school students. This research offers a practical solution through the Imagination Map strategy, a visual medium designed to spark and structure students' ideas in writing. This study is not merely an experiment, but a transformative journey documented through a Classroom Action Research (CAR) framework over two cycles with 23 fourth-grade students. Quantitative data from writing evaluations and qualitative data from participatory observation were analyzed holistically. The results show a remarkable leap: students' writing ability, which initially averaged only 57.08 with a success rate of 34.78%, skyrocketed to an average of 92.82 with a 100% success rate at the end of the intervention. More than just numbers, the classroom atmosphere transformed from passive to a passionate workshop, where student activity soared from a score of 2.63 (adequate) to 3.72 (excellent). This paper argues that the Imagination Map is not just a tool, but a catalyst that has successfully broken down the barrier of words and revived students' imagination in their creative work.
