The results of observations in SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya that the value of Biology subjects for some students is still low, this is due to the lack of understanding of students in the learning process carried out online (online). Learning using e-learning in the presence of technology in the learning process makes students feel more interested and not easily bored and can improve student learning outcomes. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether the Flipped Classroom learning model has increased the learning outcomes of students in the learning process in the material scope of biology class X in SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya. This study aims to determine the application of the flipped classroom learning model to student learning outcomes, as well as to determine the response of students to the flipped classroom learning model using learning videos on the scope of biology in class X SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya.
This research is included in the type of quantitative research, this research uses only one class, namely the experimental class, using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling technique used random sampling. This study used one class with a total of 24 students. Instrument test analysis to calculate the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and differentiation test using the Anates application version 4.0.9. Cognitive learning outcomes were collected through the pretest and posttest using a multiple choice test instrument of 25 questions. The learning outcome data were analyzed using the analysis prerequisite test including normality test, homogeneity test and normalized gain test.
The results showed that the application of the online flipped classroom learning model could improve student learning outcomes in the subject of biology class X at SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya. The average pretest score was 52 while the posttest average score was 80.63. Based on the N-gain calculation, it was obtained 12.50% low-ability students, 70.83% medium-ability students and 16.67% high-ability students. Overall, the average N-gain value was 0.54 in the medium category, which means that the pretest and posttest results have increased learning outcomes.
