PENGARUH IMPOR DAGING SAPI BEKU TERHADAP PENURUNAN JUMLAH PEMOTONGAN HEWAN DI RUMAH POTONG HEWAN (RPH) DI KELURAHAN KALAMPANGAN KOTA PALANGKA RAYA

Abstrak

This study analyzes the effect of frozen beef imports on the decline in cattle
slaughter numbers at the Kalampangan Slaughterhouse (RPH) in Palangka
Raya and its socio-economic impacts on butchers. A simple linear regression
was used to examine the relationship between frozen beef import volume and
slaughter numbers, supported by a SWOT analysis to formulate sustainability
strategies. Results indicate a significant negative relationship (Y = 3,637.005 –
0.012X; R² = 0.953), showing that increasing imports account for 95.3% of the
decline in slaughter activity. Socio-economic impacts include a 50% decrease
in butchers’ income and a reduction in active butchers. Recommended
strategies include developing processed meat products, digital marketing, and
partnerships with MSMEs and halal restaurants.
