Abstract

The selection of fertilizers that are not in accordance with land conditions and the needs of rice crops can reduce crop productivity. This problem is experienced by farmers in Bumiharjo Village, Guntur District, Demak Regency, who generally determine fertilizer usage based on habits and experience. This study aims to assist farmers in selecting the most appropriate rice fertilizer through the implementation of a decision support system based on the Best–Worst Method (BWM) and the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method. The BWM method is used to determine the weight of each criterion, while the COPRAS method is applied to rank the fertilizer alternatives. The criteria used include fertilizer price, environmental impact, fertilizer availability, soil suitability, nutrient content quality, application efficiency and dosage, and pest resistance. The fertilizer alternatives analyzed consist of Urea, NPK Phonska, Organic fertilizer, SP-36, ZA, Petroganik, and KCL. The results show that nutrient content quality is the criterion with the highest weight. Based on the COPRAS calculation, ZA fertilizer is recommended as the best alternative with a utility value of 100.00%, followed by KCL at 98.98% and Petroganik at 52.73%. Validation of the ranking results using Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain (NDCG) yields a value of 0.856, which falls into the high category, indicating that the ranking results have a high level of closeness to the ideal condition. Therefore, the BWM and COPRAS methods are effective for use as a decision support system in selecting rice fertilizers.
