Relevance of Interactive Lecture Method in Elementary School Learning in the Digital Era : Literature Review

Abstract

This research is based on the development of the digital era that demands changes in learning methods to be more interactive, although the conventional lecture method is still often used by teachers because it is considered effective in delivering structured material. This research aims to analyze the relevance of the interactive lecture method, identify its advantages and disadvantages, and examine the form of development to suit the needs of elementary school students in the digital era. The method used is literature review (literature review) by collecting data sources in the form of scientific journals, books, and relevant academic articles through online browsing, then analyzed qualitatively descriptively by reviewing, comparing, and synthesizing various opinions from different sources. The research procedure is carried out by selecting literature based on the suitability of the topic and the latest year of publication to obtain a comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of the method. The results of the study show that the interactive lecture method is able to increase student activity, help understand concepts systematically, and create a more communicative and non-monotonous learning atmosphere. However, this method has limitations, such as dependence on teacher skills in managing classes, teacher-centered tendencies, and constraints in time management. In general, interactive lecture methods remain relevant and effective in the digital era if applied creatively, combined with learning technology media, and adapted to the characteristics of elementary school students.
