Penguatan Identitas Budaya Melalui Kesenian Gong Gumbeng di Desa Wringinanom

This research aims to find out how the process and form of strengthening the identity of Gong Gumbeng art as an integral culture of Wringinanom Village. As well as the function of Gong Gumbeng art as the main tool in the accompaniment of village cleaning rituals, a means of solidarity and a symbol of identity of the Wringinanom village community. Applying an anthropological approach with descriptive qualitative research methods and cultural anthropology theory from Koentjoroningrat as a catalyst to explore symbolic meanings, social values, and the process of forming cultural identity of Wringinanom Village community through the practice of Gong Gumbeng art. The data collection techniques used were interviews with Darmanto Hadi Negoro as an elder of Gong Gumbeng art, documentation and observation. The results and findings showed that Gong Gumbeng art became an integral cultural identity for the people of Wringinanom Village. This tradition functions as an accompaniment to village cleaning rituals and as a means of strengthening solidarity, maintaining local wisdom, and strengthening the collective identity of residents. Gong Gumbeng remains alive as a symbol of pride and strengthening of cultural identity passed down from time to time.
