The Director General of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Culture said that the result of the younger generation refusing to learn cooking from their mothers or predecessors is that this original recipe is slowly disappearing. This is also influenced by the phenomenon of globalization and urbanization which can indirectly affect Indonesian culture, especially typical Madurese. The author conducted research and found that most Indonesians do not know the recipe or have never made Madurese food due to the lack of literature about Madurese food and the recipe. Therefore, there is a need for proper introduction media to provide information about typical Madurean food. This design uses quantitative and qualitative analysis methods to process primary data and secondary data to obtain relevant and effective solutions. The intended solution is to design a recipe book that is equipped with illustrations and information about insights and recipes for typical Madurese. In addition, the design of this recipe book uses a light and relaxed Indonesian to be easily understood by the audience as well as some Madurese vocabulary so that it can increase the audience's insight into Madura, the selection of typefaces that are readability and legibility. Layout arrangement that must be balanced between visualillustration and narrative. Visual elements in the form of digital painting with watercolor characteristics. With this method, this illustrated book about Madurese food recipes can attract the target audience so that problems can be resolved appropriately.
