Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, social factors, and risk on online loan usage decisions in Central Kalimantan Province. Using a quantitative approach with logistic regression analysis on 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling, the findings reveal that financial literacy has a negative and significant effect (β = -0.2675; p = 0.0026), while lifestyle has a positive and significant effect (β = 0.5050; p = 0.0000) on online loan usage decisions. However, social factors (β = -0.1842; p = 0.1158) and risk (β = 0.0879; p = 0.3991) do not show significant partial effects. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence online loan usage decisions with McFadden R² = 0.6167. These results provide important implications for financial literacy education strategies and consumer protection in the digital financial ecosystem, particularly in regions with below-average financial literacy levels such as Central Kalimantan.
