High aggregate distribution costs are a common problem. Consequently, alternative strategies are needed that combine local materials with road structural pavement elements. In the city of Palangka Raya, sand and stone are abundant natural resources. Both do not require expensive transportation and are easily accessible. Consequently, they can be combined with other materials to construct road pavements. For this laboratory test, 2 compositions were made using coarse aggregates of Ampar stone, Ampar stone ash, and Kahayan River sand with a total of 30 test specimens (Briquettes). The diagonal method and trial and error method are two approaches used in the Marshall test to ensure the quality of the mixture. The KAO value and Marshall characteristics for the use of Ampar stone and Kahayan River sand in the Hot Rolled Sheet-Wearing Course (HRS-WC) mixture at each composition were determined using the test results. With typical Marshall values for Stability Value of 913.50 kg, VMA of 19.72%, VIM of 4.06%, VFA of 79.23%, and MQ of 269.30 kg/mm, the concentration of OAC in Composition I is determined to be 7.05%. The concentration of OAC in Composition II is 7%, with Marshall values for Stability Value of 938.40 kg, VMA of 19.57%, VIM of 3.92%, VFA of 80.07%, and MQ of 278.51 kg/mm. Therefore, Ampar Stone and Kahayan River Sand can be used as aggregate sources in HRS WC mixtures.
