PARTISIPASI POLITIK DAN KETERWAKILAN PEREMPUAN DI PARLEMEN
Abstract
This article aims to elaborate on women’s political
participation and representation in parliament in Indonesia.
To answer how women's political participation and
representation in parliament, the researcher use qualitative
research methods with data collection techniques is a
literature study, while analysis uses qualitative analysisThe
results found are that women's affirmations in parliament
have not yet reached 30 percent, and the quantity is still
volatile from the previous three election periods so women's
participation in parliament faces obstacles that it has an
impact on gender-biased policy making because of a strongly
patriarchal culture, so that issues women's issues in all
aspects are not accommodated. Therefore there is a need for
improvements in several areas such as institutional and
procedural changes, representation, and outcomes as well as
discourse on women in parliament.
