The implementation of appropriate learning can provide good learning outcomes. The PjBL learning model is one of the cooperative learning models that requires students to work together in completing a predetermined project. The purpose of this study was to analyze student learning outcomes before and after the PjBL learning process and project-based learning outcomes. This study uses a one group pre-test post-test design, a sample of 15 students using the PjBL learning model as the treatment applied and analyzing the learning outcomes obtained by students during the learning process. This study concludes that through the implementation of the PjBL learning model, it provides differences in learning outcomes before and after the learning process is held on the material of energy mechanics concepts in the thermodynamics course with a value 0f 0,000. The number of unemployed in this case indicates that the percentage of unemployed vocational school graduates is still relatively high. One of the ways education plays a role in reducing unemployment is by improving the quality of education. One factor that can improve the quality of education is improving learning facilities and infrastructure. Facilities and infrastructure in the educational process are included as one of the standards of the school or educational agency concerned. This research aims to analyze: (1) the influence of infrastructure on learning outcomes, (2) the influence of motivation on learning outcomes, (3) the influence of infrastructure and motivation simultaneously on learning outcomes. This research is quantitative research carried out at the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Vocational School in the city of Gorontalo. The population in this study was 72 students. The type of questionnaire in this research is a closed questionnaire and the results are analyzed using simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research are: (1) Practical facilities and infrastructure have a significant impact on student learning outcomes at the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Vocational School by 31.8%. (2) Learning Motivation has a significant effect on the Learning Outcomes of Automotive Light Vehicle Vocational School students by 41.2%. (3) Practical Infrastructure and Learning Motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on the Learning Outcomes of Automotive Light Vehicle Vocational School students by 50.6%.
Sugeng Pramudibyo, Muh. This rise contributes to environmental issues, especially noise pollution, which is caused by the disturbance from vehicle sounds. A catalytic converter, installed in vehicle exhaust systems, reduces harmful emissions but also affects noise levels. This study examines the impact of a nickel-coated copper catalytic converter on motorcycle noise. The research is experimental, comparing the noise produced by a standard exhaust with two experimental exhaust systems fitted with catalytic converters. The study uses a Honda Astrea motorcycle, and noise testing follows the ISO/FDIS 5130 standard. The results are compared to Government Regulation Law No. 07 of 2009, which sets noise limits for motor vehicles. The research results show that the standard exhaust produces a noise level of 83.3 dBA, experiment 1 catalytic converter produces a noise level of 83.6 dBA, and experiment 2 catalytic converter produces a noise level of 82 dBA. From these results, it is evident that experiment 2 catalytic converter succeeded in reducing the noise level by 1.56% compared to the standard exhaust. However, all three types of exhausts still do not meet the quality standards set in the Minister of Environment Regulation No. 07 of 2009 regarding Noise Limits for New Motor Vehicle Types, which sets the maximum noise limit at 80 dBA for stage 1
Ata Syifa’ Nugraha, Muhammad Tegar Jaya Pangestu, Sudirman Rizki Ariyanto Copyright (c) 2025 Steam Engineering https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/JPTM/article/view/19616 Mon, 03 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0000 ANALISIS KEGAGALAN PADA PATAHAN MATA BOR TIPE HIGH SPEED STEEL https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/JPTM/article/view/19625
Drill bit failure in the drilling process often occurs due to exposure to mechanical, thermal, and chemical loads during operation. Nachi HSS drill bits, as critical components in the manufacturing industry, are prone to sudden wear and breakage due to dynamic processes involving material fragmentation, friction, and increased local temperatures. This study analyses the root cause of Nachi HSS drill bit failure through fracture investigation, chemical composition, and microstructure. The analysis methods include macroscopic testing to identify fracture patterns, optical microscopy to evaluate surface deformation, and X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) testing to verify material composition. The results showed that the fault was a brittle fracture due to a mismatch in chemical composition: molybdenum (Mo) levels were not detected. At the same time, chromium (Cr) and vanadium (V) only reached 3.85% and 0.95%, 0.45% lower than factory standards. This deficiency reduces resistance to thermomechanical loads, triggering stress concentration and rapid crack propagation during the drilling of ST37 steel material at a speed of 1,800 RPM. These findings emphasize the importance of quality control of material composition and optimization of operating parameters to prevent premature failure.
Sudirman Rizki Ariyanto, Muhammad Yandi Pratama, Warju Warju, Rachmad Syarifudin Hidayatullah, Muhammad Syahrul Anwari Copyright (c) 2025 Steam Engineering https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/JPTM/article/view/19625 Mon, 03 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0000 PENERAPAN COOPERATIVE PEER INSTRUCTION BERBASIS ETNOGASTRONOMI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN LOCAL KNOWLEADGE https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/JPTM/article/view/19647
This study aims to improve students' learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes, particularly related to local knowledge, in the subject of Basic Culinary Arts, specifically in the chapter Indonesian Food Processing, sub-chapter Javanese Dishes, through the implementation of the Cooperative Peer Instruction model integrated with ethnogastronomy. In school and classroom environments, there are various characteristics of students with different interests, talents and learning styles. Student activity in learning is an indicator of the success of the learning process. Based on the results of observations made by researchers through direct observation in class This condition is caused by learning methods that are still conventional, where students receive more material directly without active involvement in the learning process. This situation often results in students feeling less enthusiastic or bored, so they do not pay full attention to the material presented by the teacher. Therefore, this research aims to increase student participation through the implementation of differentiated learning that is adapted to the learning style of each student at the Satya Widya Tourism Vocational School, Surabaya. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, with research subjects of 30 students from class XI Culinary 1. The techniques used in this research included observation and documentation, while increasing student activity in each cycle was analyzed based on the research results obtained. The research results show that students started from pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II, with the average student activity increasing. In cycle I, activeness increased from 74.38% to 83.75%, showing an increase of 9.37%. Furthermore, in cycle II, there was a further increase of 7.5%, reaching 91.25%. Overall, the increase in student activity based on this data reached 16.87% so that, This research has met the indicators of success in increasing active student participation.
Jihan Aulia Rahmah, Yunus Karyanto, Prisna Andreanus Effendi, Umi Farih Nur Imami, Faedah Nur Baeti, Graciella Yolanda , Julysa Ahmad Ardiyansyah Copyright (c) 2025 Steam Engineering https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/JPTM/article/view/19682 Mon, 03 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0000 PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF SISWA https://e-journal.upr.ac.id/index.php/JPTM/article/view/19693
This study aims to analyze the application of the Problem Based Learning in improving students' cognitive abilities in Danish Pastry material.
