Pelanggaran Prinsip Kesantunan pada Film Yowis Ben 3 Karya Fajar Nugros dan Bayu Skak

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of violation of the principle of politeness in the speech of the film Yowis Ben 3 by Fajar Nugros and Bayu Skak. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique in this study uses the listening method realized through the tapping technique which is a basic technique of the listening method. The tapping technique is used to obtain films that have been selected in the streaming service application, namely Vidio. The data in this study are in the form of dialogues from the film Yowis Ben 3 which are changed into transcripts that contain violations of the principle of politeness. The data source in this study is the film Yowis Ben 3 by Fajar Nugros and Bayu Skak. Data analysis in this study uses the matching method with the basic technique of Sorting Determining Elements (PUP). For the next technique, the Relationship Comparative Equalization (HBS) technique is used. The data presentation technique in this study is an informal presentation. Based on the data analysis, in the film Yowis Ben 3, 92 speech acts were found to violate the principle of politeness, which include the six principles of politeness in language from Leech. The maxim of wisdom has 19 data, the maxim of generosity has 2 data, the maxim of praise has 39 data, the maxim of modesty has 4 data, the maxim of agreement has 20 data, and the maxim of sympathy has 8 data. The Maxim of Praise is most dominantly found because the film is a comedy genre.
