Author Guidelines

JMSO: Journal of Management, Science, and Organization invites authors to submit original, high-quality manuscripts that have not been published previously and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

All manuscripts must be prepared using the official JMSO article template. Submissions that do not follow the template and guidelines may be returned to authors prior to peer review.


1. Manuscript Template

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the JMSO Article Template provided by the journal. The template defines the structure, formatting, font style, and layout of the manuscript to ensure consistency and professional presentation.

Key template requirements include:
      . File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
      . Maximum length: 15 pages, including tables, figures, and references
      . Language: English (preferred) or Bahasa Indonesia with clear academic writing
      . Page layout, font type, font size, spacing, headings, and citation format must strictly follow the template

Manuscripts not written using the template will not be processed further.


2. Title and Author Information

      . The article title must be written in English, concise, informative, and reflect the main content of the manuscript
      . Title length: 12–15 words
      . Titles must not contain formulas, abbreviations, or uncommon symbols
      . Author names should be written using full names without academic degrees or titles
      . Each author’s affiliation must include department, faculty, institution, and country
      . The corresponding author’s email address must be provided


3. Abstract and Keywords

      . The abstract must be written in English, in one paragraph, with a length of 100–200 words  
      . The abstract must include:
          . Objective – research purpose
          . Design/Methodology/Approach – methods used
          . Findings – main research results
          . Conclusion and Implications – key conclusions and theoretical and/or practical implications
          . Keywords: 3–5 words or phrases, written in English and arranged alphabetically


4. Article Structure

Manuscripts must follow the structure below as specified in the template:

Introduction

The introduction should present the research background, problem formulation, research objectives, novelty, significance, and scope of the study. Relevant previous studies should be reviewed to position the research contribution. The section should end with a clear statement of research objectives or hypotheses (if applicable).
Sub-headings and numbering are not allowed.
Recommended length: approximately 1,500 words.

Methods

This section explains the research design, data sources, location, respondents or objects of study, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods. Standard methods may be cited, while new or modified procedures must be described clearly.
Tables and figures must follow the format specified in the template and be properly referenced in the text.

Results and Discussion

Results must be presented systematically and aligned with the research objectives or hypotheses. Data should be supported by appropriate analysis, tables, and figures.
Tables and figures must be referred to in the text without using positional terms such as “above” or “below”.
Discussion should interpret the results critically and relate them to previous studies.

Conclusion

The conclusion summarizes the main findings in relation to the research objectives or hypotheses. It should include research limitations, recommendations for future research, and possible policy or managerial implications.
Bullet points or numbered lists are not permitted.

Acknowledgment (Optional)

Acknowledgments may be given to individuals or institutions that contributed to the research but are not listed as authors. Funding sources and grant numbers (if any) must be clearly stated.


5. Tables and Figures

      . Tables and figures must be clear, readable, and formatted according to the template
      . Each table and figure must have a title and source (if applicable)
      . All tables and figures must be cited in the text
      . Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material


6. References

      . References must be prepared using reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero
      . APA (latest edition) citation style is required
      . In-text citation:
          . Two authors: cite both authors
          . Three or more authors: cite the first author followed by et al.
      . References must be listed alphabetically
      . Minimum 20 references
      . At least 80% of references should be journal articles published within the last 10 years
      . Unpublished data and personal communications should be cited in the text only and excluded from the reference list


7. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the Online Journal System (OJS) of JMSO. Authors must ensure that the manuscript file does not contain any author-identifying information to support the double-blind peer review process.
