Artificial Intelligence (AI)
This policy explains how our authors, editorial team, and peer reviewers may use artificial intelligence (AI) when preparing or reviewing scientific works for JMSO. Further details on the specific use cases of this technology are provided below; any questions should be directed to the appropriate JMSO editorial contact.
Scriptwriting (creating, composing, or writing) any part of the submission using generative AI tools and technology to produce new material is not permitted.
Editing manuscripts (correction, editing, formatting, modification, or enhancement) of all or part of the author's existing original work using generative AI tools and technology to improve the structure and clarity of language and grammar is permitted, provided that users adhere to the following key principles.
Any form of unethical behavior will result in corrective actions, including manuscript rejection or article retraction.
