Abstract

LGBT is a social phenomenon that is being highlighted by society from within the country and abroad. This issue has pros and cons because one party feels that LGBT is something that is very deviant from religion, not in accordance with norms, culture in Indonesia, or the values ​​of Pancasila. So this LGBT regulation, which has no clear direction, is still a matter of contention among the public and students. Because quite a few have shown that they are pro LGBT, further research is needed to assess whether LGBT is in accordance with the state ideology or Pancasila which has been established by conducting survey analysis on student respondents who are critical and aware of this matter. This research aims to assess whether LGBT is in accordance with state ideology or Panacasila based on student perspectives through a descriptive qualitative approach. This approach is considered capable of obtaining information regarding students' views regarding LGBT. The results of the research show that many student perspectives disagree and oppose the existence of LGBT in Indonesia, because LGBT is not in accordance with the values ​​and norms of Pancasila and could be a threat to the future of the country.
