PUBLICATION ETHICS
Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Pandohop (JBKP) is a scholarly journal that publishes research articles, conceptual papers, and practical studies in the field of guidance and counseling. The journal is published twice a year, in March and September, and serves as a platform for academics, researchers, educators, practitioners, and scholars in guidance and counseling.
This publication ethics statement is intended to guide journal managers, editors, reviewers, and authors, and is based on Indonesian Regulation (LIPI No. 5 of 2014 on Scientific Publication Ethics) and the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
JBKP upholds three fundamental ethical principles:

Fairness, providing appropriate recognition of intellectual ownership;

Integrity, rejecting all forms of duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P).
Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Management
Journal management is responsible for:

Defining the journal title, scope, publication schedule, and accreditation

Appointing and managing the editorial board

Establishing clear relationships among publishers, editors, reviewers, and other stakeholders
-
Maintaining confidentiality throughout the publication process
-
Enforcing intellectual property and copyright policies
-
Communicating journal policies to authors and reviewers
-
Developing ethical guidelines for editors and reviewers
-
Ensuring regular and sustainable journal publication
-
Securing financial and operational resources
-
Managing journal networking, dissemination, and promotion
-
Handling legal permissions and journal authorization
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:

Serving the needs of readers and authors
-
Continuously improving publication quality
-
Ensuring a fair and transparent peer-review process
-
Upholding academic freedom responsibly
-
Protecting the integrity of authors’ academic records
-
Issuing corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary
-
Overseeing manuscript style and format while authors remain responsible for content
-
Encouraging constructive feedback from reviewers and authors
-
Supporting ethical research practices, including requiring ethical clearance for human-subject research
-
Promoting publication ethics education

Remaining open to diverse scholarly perspectives
-
Avoiding conflicts of interest and subjective decision-making
-
Encouraging authors to revise manuscripts constructively
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are responsible for:

Conducting objective, confidential, and timely reviews
-
Declining reviews when conflicts of interest exist
-
Maintaining manuscript confidentiality
-
Providing constructive and scholarly feedback
-
Supporting the improvement of manuscript quality

Evaluating manuscripts based on academic standards, including methodology and validity
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are responsible for:

Ensuring all listed authors meet authorship criteria
-
Taking collective responsibility for the manuscript content
-
Presenting data honestly and accurately
-
Properly citing all sources, including funding
-
Stating research limitations clearly
-
Responding professionally and promptly to reviewer comments
-
Informing the editor if withdrawing a manuscript
-
Submitting an authorship declaration confirming originality and exclusive submission
