Focus and Scope

The Journal of Guidance and Counseling (JBKP) is a scholarly journal dedicated to the publication of academic works that contribute to the advancement of theory, empirical research, policy, and professional practice in the field of guidance and counseling. The journal aims to strengthen and broaden the scientific foundations of guidance and counseling through the dissemination of original research, critical and conceptual analyses, and methodological and practical innovations that respond to contemporary human and social challenges.

JBKP conceptualizes guidance and counseling as a developmental, contextual, and interdisciplinary field that supports behavioral development, mental health, psychosocial well-being, character formation, and value-based growth across the lifespan. Accordingly, the journal welcomes manuscripts addressing guidance and counseling practices across formal, non-formal, and informal settings, including schools, higher education institutions, families, communities, organizations, and broader social contexts.

JBKP publishes peer-reviewed manuscripts employing a wide range of research designs and scholarly approaches, including quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, case studies, action research in counseling, program evaluation, and the development and validation of counseling models, instruments, and evidence-based interventions. Interdisciplinary and context-responsive studies are encouraged, provided they maintain a clear and substantive connection to the field of guidance and counseling.
