Plagiarism
Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Pandohop (JBKP) is committed to upholding academic integrity and ethical scholarly publishing. All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, misrepresentation, or significant omission of material.
Plagiarism
Authors are required to explicitly cite all sources of ideas, data, and text derived from the work of others, whether quoted verbatim or paraphrased. This standard applies to all sources, including published, unpublished, and electronically available materials.
Failure to properly attribute the work of others constitutes plagiarism. Plagiarism in any form, including but not limited to:
-
Copying text without attribution
-
Substantial paraphrasing without citation
-
Duplicate publication or self-plagiarism
-
Unauthorized use of data or research findings
is considered unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
Plagiarism Screening
Prior to acceptance, all manuscripts are subjected to a similarity check using recognized plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent tools.
JBKP evaluates similarity reports contextually:
-
Acceptable similarity levels must align with scholarly publishing standards
-
Similarity from references, quotations, and standard methodological descriptions is assessed carefully
-
The Editor reserves the right to request revisions, clarifications, or to reject manuscripts if ethical violations are identified
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
JBKP permits the limited and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for technical writing support, including:
-
Language editing and grammar correction
-
Improving clarity and readability
-
Assisting with initial structuring or stylistic refinement
However, AI must not be used to:
-
Generate research data, analyses, or scientific findings
-
Replace the author’s role in interpretation or conclusions
-
Produce misleading, unverifiable, or fabricated content
Authors bear full responsibility for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their manuscripts, including any content assisted by AI. If AI tools are used in a substantial manner, authors must disclose such use transparently in the methodology section or author’s note.
Violations of plagiarism or AI misuse policies may result in:
-
Manuscript rejection
-
Retraction of published articles
-
Notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions when necessary
